about

Opusoid's first exploration in live looping with the JamMan loop pedal and its primitive and limited capabilities. Very raw, lo-fi, sometimes scratchy, but all in love and fun...a much needed jump into technology after backpacking and playing acoustically throughout central/south america for a year. this album is another one of those Opusoid-esque amalgamation of swirling and lingering thoughts coming out in different forms and versions, both in the past and future...title stolen from a conversation about why we materialize and drop into this absurdity that is life...simple yo, infinity was boring, we had to make our own stupid glorious disasters...these ideas would become lyrics in a future Opusoid song "hand eye" off the album "mix'l idiom."

thanks to eloise the boston terrier for hanging out and inspiring much of this album's playfulness...thanks to PAJAMA GIRL (kellykowalski.com) for providing vocals on TRACK 4 and for providing the sample she captured in China on TRACK 8...and thanks to Tom Robbins' "Jitterbug Perfume" for some inspiration, and thanks to Greg Swanson for building that geodesic dome that one day and for being there to inspire the session that got captured on TRACK 17 (later became a song in A.J's band JUDO NO, video link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ioo4wh8OY88 ), and thanks to Feedbands.com for providing space in the "Kale House" and for commissioning Opusoid to lay down a soundtrack (video link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=-32cfRcjgFE )
